A Good Sunday

Note: Today is Day 14 of my 30 day blog challenge. If you want to get my random thoughts about random stuff in your inbox, you can subscribe at the bottom of any post or mash the RSS button if that’s how you roll.

I was going to do a health update today. A one stop shopping spot to explain some of my cryptic tweets of the past few months.

But, now it’s 11:28pm and I have to get up at 4:30am to take some writers and actors from the PCS JAW festival to the airport.

So I’ll just say…today turned out pretty well, in spite of waking up on the wrong side of the bed and fighting through crankiness all day.

Kronda & Jess at Penninsula Park with the Big Dummy

I carried Jess on the Big Dummy through the entire Sunday Parkways route.

This little girl saw Jess and realized she may have gotten suckered into pedaling
when she could just be riding…

We ran into a few people we haven’t seen in far too long and promised to make chocolate dates. We tried disc golf for the first time and loved it. We ate free blueberries from the Kaiser booth and bought amazing kettle corn.

We ended up eating our treats and relaxing in Kenton park.

For dinner we took all the amazing veggies we got at the farmer’s market that morning and made cherry tomato and sweet corn salad.

I had been regretting buying arugula from the guy who farms in different people’s yards because Jess pointed out that we could have gotten the pre-washed stuff from New Seasons and save a bunch of time and work. But I quickly realized that the store bought lettuce wouldn’t have smelled so amazing. Even though I was tired, I was glad to spend the 20 minutes picking and washing to enjoy the taste of fresh, local food.

We spent the rest of the evening relaxing and watching Big Love. And I spent the time I would have been blogging fixing the ‘Older Entries’ link at the bottom of this page so that it actually works.

So you get to hear about my day instead and now if you run out of things to read on this page, you can go to another one.
